Election of Office-Bearers and Swearing-In Ceremony

In accordance with Sub-Section 9.4 (c) of the Constitution, a meeting to elect Office Bearers and swearing-in ceremony was held on Friday, 13th July 2012 at 4.00 p.m. in MBAM Conference Room.

Mr Kwan Foh Kwai announced that he would not be seeking further nomination in the election for the post of President, but would continue to be involved in MBAM activities in his capacity as the Immediate Past President.

The elected Office Bearers for the term July 2012 to June 2014 are:

2. Committee Chairmen

In the same MBAM Council Meeting 5/2012, Hume Cemboard Industries Sdn. Bhd. and Cofreth (M) Sdn. Bhd. was also appointed as Council Members in accordance with Section 9.4 (d) of MBAM Constitution. Another new member to MBAM Council is Crest Builder Sdn Bhd.

The meeting also appointed Mr Dennis Tan as MBAM Deputy Secretary-General 1, and Mr Oliver Wee as MBAM Deputy-Secretary-General 2.

Constech 2012 organised by the Thai Contractors Association (TCA) is an international construction machinery, equipment and technology exhibition.  It provides the platform for contractors and other related industry players to get updated information on the latest solutions and technology as well as to share, discuss and exchange views on industry trends and challenges.

9th China-ASEAN Expo and Related Forum (China-ASEAN Infrastructure Investment & Financing Cooperation Forum) Nanning, Guangxi,  China – 21st – 25th September 2012

The China-ASEAN Infrastructure Investment & Financing Cooperation Forum to be held during the 9th China-ASEAN Expo, is a complement to the “Exhibition of International Economic Cooperation” undertaken by China International Contractors Association (CHINCA).  The main objective of the forum is to enable participants to discuss how to build sound financial platform for cooperation between China and ASEAN countries especially the cooperation and communication in project financing, risk control, and financial derivatives.  Delegates will also be invited to visit the Pavilions of International Economic Cooperation.

Malaysian Services Exhibition (MSE) 2012, Chengdu, China, 25th -30th September 2012

Pursuant to the recent success of the MSE 2012 in Doha and Beijing, MATRADE is organizing the Malaysia Services Exhibition (MSE) 2012, Chengdu, China.  MSE 2012 Chengdu will focus on industry related services including construction related services, education, healthcare, franchise and other services.  The event is also co-hosted within Western China International Fair 2012 where MSE pavilion will occupy 680 sqm of space.

MBAM RAYA NITE 2012

MBAM Raya Nite 2012 will be held on Wednesday, 5th September 2012 from 6.30 pm to 10.00 pm at the Saloma Bistro, Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), 139, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. 

The gathering aims at providing members/participants the opportunity to make new contacts, exchange information and promote business opportunities and co-operation.  The event will bring significant benefits to your esteemed company.
